Lead Product Manager — Clinical Workflows

"Turn what doctors on three continents actually need into one simple flow. Own it end to end."

Why this role matters

Hilbi runs in the EU, India and the US. Doctors in each market work differently — different time pressure, different payment logic, different habits. Someone has to sit with them, extract what they truly need, and translate it into one canonical product flow that works everywhere. That someone reports directly to the CEO on outcomes — and owns everything else independently: working daily with engineering, project management and sales. This is an applied product role, not a visionary one. The vision exists. Your job is to make it real, screen by screen, flow by flow.

What you'll work on

  • Own product discovery with doctors across the EU, India and the US — structured sessions, shadowing, validation. In-house clinicians and medical advisory board are your direct resource.
  • Design one canonical flow per clinical job-to-be-done; localize only where regulation, reimbursement or patient channels force it — never for preference.
  • Translate clinical needs into clear specifications for engineering; run the loop with dev and project management without escalation.
  • Work with sales as the voice of the product: hold the line on the core, concede where localization is legitimate.
  • Own outcome metrics: doctor effort per task, flow completion, adoption. You report results, not activity.
  • Grow into healthcare data standards (FHIR R4, terminologies, ABDM, USCDI) — you don't need to know them on day one; you need to want to.

Skills needed

  • You have shipped clinician- or user-facing product flows and can show at least one you made measurably simpler. We don't count years — we count evidence.
  • You understand UX flows natively: steps, friction, cognitive load. You feel a 9-step flow physically.
  • You live with the product. You use it, test it, know every screen, notice every broken detail. This is the single most important trait for this role — everything else can be learned, this cannot.
  • You understand how healthcare works — or have shown you can learn an unfamiliar, regulated domain fast and deeply.
  • You work independently with engineers, project managers and salespeople, and you communicate in clear, direct English.

Valuable extras

Experience in digital health, EMR/EHR, telehealth or booking platformsWorking knowledge of FHIR R4 or any national health-data frameworkExperience across more than one market or healthcare system

What we evaluate

  • Evidence of simplification — a real flow you cut down, with numbers
  • Product obsession — how you live with what you build
  • Quality of thinking under constraint (see the assignment)
  • Ability to defend a design to engineers and sales without a CEO in the room

The assignment

Shortlisted candidates receive a structured assignment: design one canonical clinical flow that works across three markets (EU, India, US) from realistic vignettes. Expected effort 4–6 hours; deliverable is a max 6-slide PDF. Shortlisted submissions are defended in a 30-minute panel with a Hilbi engineer and commercial lead. Full brief shared after application review.

Full brief is shared after a short intro call.
