AI Frontend Engineer
"You build interfaces that feel instant — and you let AI do the repetitive wiring so you can focus on the moments that matter."
Why this role matters
What you'll work on
- AI-native UI: streaming LLM outputs, LLM-generated forms, patient-facing copilots
- Real-time features: WebRTC video, live document sync, real-time dashboards
- Frontend infrastructure: design systems, performance budgets, observability
- Prototyping with AI: rapid validation of concepts before engineering commitment
- Hard UI polish: animations, accessibility, mobile responsiveness, offline states
Skills needed
- 5+ yrs React/TypeScript on production products
- Experience with real-time or streaming UI (WebRTC, WebSockets, SSE)
- Comfortable using AI tools to scaffold, test and refactor — but you own the architecture
- Strong UX sensibility: you care how it feels, not just how it works
- Accessibility and performance are defaults, not afterthoughts
Valuable extras
Design systemsAccessibilityHealthcare UXThree.js / WebGLReact Native
What we evaluate
- Quality of real-time / streaming UI implementation
- How well AI-generated code is reviewed, refined and integrated
- Performance and accessibility outcomes
- Architecture decisions and state management clarity
- Pragmatism: ships fast, iterates, does not over-engineer
The assignment
A focused take-home: build a small AI-assisted UI component (e.g. a streaming text interface or an LLM-generated form) with attention to state management, accessibility, and performance. Full brief shared after the intro.
